Their striking resemblance was noticed months ago. I’m talking of Nigerian comedian Mr Ibu and Kenya’s education Cabinet Secretary (and acting Interior CS) Fred Matiang’i.
Word reached the Nigerian and he has now sent out an appeal to meet Matiang’i. Better still, he would want an explanation from Matiang’i’s parents.
Mr Ibu, real name John Okafor, is in Nairobi alongside fellow Nollywood actors Kenneth Okonkwo and Tonto Dikeh. They are in town for an event dubbed ‘International Peace Concert’.
On Friday night, Mr Ibu was hosted on Citizen TV’s 10/10.
“Kenyans have shocked me today. They show me one commissioner that looks like me. Commissioner for Education. He looks like me. Ogah, I beg, I want to see you. I want to see you, I beg. I blame my father. I want to see you because blood is thicker than water. Please, anybody who hears this message pass it to the Minister for Education Dr Matiang’i,” he said.
