Deputy President William Ruto’s past experience as an evangelist came in handy over the weekend when he came to the rescue of Gideon Moi in tracing a Bible verse.
A video has emerged online showing the moment the Baringo Senator struggled to find the verse during a church service in Baringo.
Ruto and President Uhuru were on the campaign trail in Baringo last Sunday. They attended the Africa Inland Church, Kabartonjo, where the viral video was recorded.
The less than a minute clip shows Gideon Moi perusing the good book for quite a while before Ruto steps in.
Ruto was an evangelist when he was a student at Kapsabet Boys High School and University Of Nairobi.
He was also a member of university’s Christian Union where he served as Chairman.
