Kiss 100 presenter and singer Adelle Onyango made a debut in the music industry with the single ‘faded’. The lass has now opted the charity way as she made a commitment to donate half of the proceeds generated from her debut single towards a rape awareness initiative. The bubbly presenter is hoping to raise funds that will go towards the awareness foundation dubbed No Means No.
“Faded is just my first single and I saw very helpful if I donate 50 per cent of it’s proceeds to the noble initiative. Its all for a good cause. There are so many cases of rape in the society and a lot of people are suffering in silence. I think such initiatives to sensitize the community are the right way of unearthing the silence and spread more confidence,” she told Word Is.
Meanwhile, video-makers to her single called on willing participants to take part in a reaction video for the song.“For the last few months we have been working on a debut single for Adelle. It is fun song that doesn’t take it self to seriously but attempts to paint Adelle in a new light. We will be shooting the video’s of various personalities in our studio’s listing to Adelle’s song, filming their and your reaction to the song (positive or negative),” says Ndohho Wohoro, the MD and co-founder at Motion Image and Sound.
The video is expected to be released soon.
