Singer Wahu has gone into business, following in the footsteps of several other local artistes. She has opened up a Salon in Nairobi’s Westlands, named ‘Afro Siri’. The new business is targeting well off clients, and the ever growing middle class.
It’s good that our artistes have now started investing unlike a few years back where they were reduced to paupers as soon as they stopped making good music. Leading the pack is Jaguar, who has set up various businesses ranging from real estate to transport. Octopizzo is also coming up well, with interests in fashion. He also has his own condom brand.
