Kalonzo Musyoka’s Heartfelt Note To Lupita

There is no doubt whatsoever that Lupita has made her family and Kenya as a whole proud. She is the first Kenyan to win an Oscar and her fans, including former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka, have not taken that lightly.The wiper party leader was all  praises, in a congratulatory letter sent to the actress.
On my behalf, my family, the Wiper Democratic Movement Party and Kenyans at large I wish to congratulate our Kenyan golden star, Lupita Nyongo for her triumph in the Oscars award last night held at the Dolby theatre, Hollywood.
Your exceptional performance in the film 12 Years a Slave has not only given our youth hope but has again placed Kenya where she belongs, a Country of World beaters.
The slavery story is one of the saddest moments in the history of Africa and your portrayal of Patsey has indeed done the continent proud, for no matter how far we have come and how much we have achieved we must never forget where it is we came from.
You are a role model to many of our youth who now look to you as a perfect example of the fruits reaped from determination, discipline and hard work.
