Neno Evangelism Centre founding pastor James Ng’ang’a has announced plans to sell his hotel in Naivasha to raise funds to set up a branch of his ministry in the United States.
The televangelist is selling the Newstead Hotel, formerly Sunny Hill Hotel, located on the Nakuru-Nairobi Road for Sh800 million. He estimates that his new church in America would require Sh600 million to finance.
“That is why I am selling the hotel so that I can get enough money to finance the project,” he told the Nation.
Pastor Ng’ang’a mentioned that the Sh800 million sale price is negotiable.
The controversial preacher said he planning to relocate to the U.S., where his wife Mercy Murugi recently gave birth.
“That is why I have been visiting America many times, to prepare the ground. My wife has been in America since she recently gave birth,” he reportedly told the publication.
Pastor Ng’ang’a’s firstborn son is an American citizen having been born in South Carolina.
