Jose Chameleone Explains Why He Kissed His Brother Weasel on Stage

March 2, 2023

Jose Chameleone landed in hot soup with his fans last week after a second incident in which he was captured kissing his brother Weasel on stage.

The spectacle happened during his ‘Gwanga Mujje’ concert that went down on Friday, February 24th, 2023 at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala.

Following a public uproar in his home country, the Ugandan musician spoke out on Tuesday and apologised for the incident.

In a video statement on his socials, the ‘Valu Valu’ hitmaker expressed his regret and explained that the kiss happened in the heat of the moment.

“I wish to also apologize to my fans, friends, for the deed me and Weasel shared on stage. I know that most of my friends are really offended and didn’t carry it lightly. I sincerely apologize. There was just too much energy, excitement and I actually regret it. I also apologize on behalf of him (Weasel),” he said.

Chameleone added: “The energy was so high, and it was just a wrong way to share it with Weasel, my brother, and I also apologise on behalf of him. Thank you so much for accepting my apologies.”

This was the second time the two brothers have displayed affection towards each other on stage. They caused another uproar when they shared a kiss at a concert held in Bujumbura, Burundi last year.

Then a few weeks ago, Chameleone and his other brother Pallaso were seen in a supposed video shoot dancing suggestively with each other.
