Governor John Krop Lonyang’apuo is without a doubt one of the most beloved politicians in the country.

Not only is the West Pokot county CEO popular for his undeniable verve in transforming the lives of his people, but for his rib-cracking sense of humor. This year has since Lonyangapuo become a sensation and popular meme among Kenyan netizens for his hilarious remarks during public addresses.

Naturally, as his popularity grows, people are inclined to want to know more about the charismatic leader. If you have ever wondered how Lonyangapuo lives, wonder no more.

The former Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Industrialization under President Mwai Kibaki lives in a lavish compound fit for a King.

An inside look at the Governor’s official residence in Kapenguria was offered by veteran comedian Daniel Ndambuki. The ‘Churchill Show’ host visited governor Lonyang’apuo ahead of a live recording of the NTV comedy show in West Pokot county on August 10.

In a video posted to his socials, Churchill captured Lonyangapuo’s expansive compound in which a palatial house that is under construction can be seen.

“This is his(Lonyangapuo) residence in Kapenguria…it’s a beautiful place,” says Churchill in the clip, adding, “Now you see why wazungus walikatalia huku. This is very nice.”

Governor Lonyangapuo, in his usual comical self, noted that West Pokot is the place to invest in, especially for stressed people in Nairobi.

“West Pokot is the place to rest in. If you want a good house where you can sleep and end your worries, come and invest here,” said Lonyangapuo.

Last month, the Governor was captured in one of his funny videos explaining why he is not in a hurry to complete the construction of the mansion.
