Renowned activist Boniface Mwangi has this morning been arrested.
Boniface took to Twitter to reveal the developments, but failed to mention the reason. According to him, the DCI officers sent to take him in did not inform him.
I have been arrested by @DCI_Kenya from my house. We are headed to Central Police Station. I haven't been told the reason for my arrest.

The activist was taken to Central Police Station, and we’re still waiting for more information from those privy. However according to one officer who spoke to Nation, Boniface was arrested for being ‘careless’.
“He has been arrested for being careless, we shall reveal more later,” the officer said.
This is not Mwangi’s first blush with the law. He has been in and out of stations in the course of his activism. The last time was in April when he led a group to Central Police Station to demand the release of fellow activist Beatrice Waithera.
Reports on social media indicate that statements he may have made concerning a ‘revolution’ may be behind his arrest.
