A suspect linked to last month’s explosion on Latema road, Nairobi, was arraigned in a Nairobi court on Monday.
Mohammed Nurrow Mohammed was nabbed last Friday[ February 22] at Biashara Street within Moyale at the Kenya-Ethiopia border.
He was presented in Court under a miscellaneous application where detectives were granted three more days to detain him pending conclusion of investigations.
The prosecution told the court that the investigations are complex and involve a number of agencies, further noting that the accused could interfere with the probe if released.
The Anti-Terror Police Unit said it is also pursuing other suspects believed to have planned the explosion together with Mohammed Nurrow Mohammed
“Intelligence reports show that he has other associates who assisted him in planning and executing the explosion,” the court heard.
ATPU had asked for five days to complete investigations but the court only allowed a three-day detention.
