We have seen articles detailing the origin of names of Kenyan towns. We’ve heard about Roysambu being the local man’s understanding and pronunciation of colonial’s ‘Royal Suburb’.

Kariokor was apparently Carrier Corps, and the list goes on. Those are however the ones everyone knows.

Another list has now come out. More detailed and comprehensive, and I must say, this is the funniest yet.

I’m not sure whether it reflects reality, but if it does, Kenyans are one funny lot.
