AMAZING!! Gilad Teams Up with Dela in Moving Duet Titled ‘Nakuahidi’ (Lyric Video)

Two of Kenya’s most promising music acts, Gilad and Dela have collaborated on an amazing new project dubbed ‘Nakuahidi,’ swahili for ‘I Promise You.’
The lovely jam, produced by MG studios, is a soundtrack about two lovers bidding farewell to each other as one has to leave to fend for the family, hence the promise to see each other again.
The moving song was performed for the first time during the Music For Empowerment concert that went down on Saturday at the Waterfront Gardens, Ngong Racecourse.
Coming off their impressive solo projects, Gilad and Dela have combined impressively with their rich vocals to make this one a must have ballad in your playlist.
Gilad says, “I recorded my bit and then approached Dela after hearing her cover to Adelle’s Hello’. The song just felt perfect for her vocals. When I met and played it to her in the parking lot, she agreed to come to the studio later on. Tim Baraka also came and not only played the guitar but contributed additional lyrics as well. By the end, the song had evolved into the emotional ballad that we have.”
Dela added, “I had so much fun in the studio with Gilad and MG working on this song. Thanks for the love. We put our hearts and souls in this.”
