Sarabi Band Mourn the Loss of Founding Member John Njau

Afro fusion musical group Sarabi band has lost one of its members John Njau.
The band broke the sad news through its facebook page. The cause of his death has however not been revealed.
John “Kamuniu” Njau was the band’s percussionist, singer and founding member.
This is what they posted:
“It is with deep sorrow and sadness we announce the sudden passing on of one of our founder member John “Kamuniu” Njau… John was a percussionist and singer for our Band and contributed his talent immensely and helped create the foundation blocks for SARABI… on the photo below taken for a feature on Drum magazine in 2006, the late John is standing next to Haron on the extreme left…. John we thank you for sharing your journey with us.. Rest in Peace our brother. ‪“

Sarabi band has grown to become one of the most promising bands in the country. They have performed in major stages in Kenya and abroad.
We wish them strength and may John’s soul rest in eternal peace.
