Refigah To Splash Sh3.5 Million in 3 Day Wedding Ceremony

Grandpa records CEO and creative director Yusuf Noah aka Refigah is set to wave bye bye to bachelorhood in spectacular fashion. He will be splashing in excess of Sh3.5 million for the grand wedding to his long time girlfriend, Mahadia Omar in a three day ceremony.
The ceremony will be held in Ngong’ and Nairobi next month. The nuptials are slated for May 1, at the bride’s Ngong’ home. They will be followed by the Nikah- Islamic wedding, on May 2 at the Ibn Omar Mosque in Ng’ong’ town. Finally the grand reception will be held at the Kibera Primary School grounds, on May 3.
“The three days were necessary as we are strictly following the Nubian culture and traditions. But what I can tell you is that a proper Nubian wedding is an expensive affair. In my case when I do the calculations, the whole thing will cost me just over Sh3.5 million. But it’s good to start life with a celebration. On May 3, we will have at least 95 per cent of the music fraternity in attendance and many of them will perform, but the committee is still working on the final list. Card invitations are just a courtesy gesture but the celebrations are open to every member of the community,” Refigah told The Star.
