Nigerian singer Iyanya is alleged to have made preposterous demands to appear on a video of a song he recorded with the South African based Kenyan singer, Habida. Iyanya, the man behind the famous song Kukere, which features fellow Nigerian D’Banj in the remix, demanded for $4000 (Sh350,000) in order to appear in the video. More so, he wanted Habida to get him a suit for the video and a private stylist.
All expenses summed up to a rough figure Ksh 500,000. In an interview with Nairobi News, these were Habida’s sentiments. “I’m not really sure whether Iyanya is aware of what was happening. I could not meet those demands at that time, and so I have decided to release the song soon.”
Habida has since decided to proceed without the Nigerian.
