Rapper Octopizzo released his new song ‘Black stars’ featuring his daughter Tracy on Kiss 100.
The song is about the rise of octopizzo from the slams of Kibera to stardom. He narrates his rough experiences growing up.
His daughter Tracy sings the chorus while the ‘namba nane’ finest does the verses. This is what the rapper said about his song on his facebook page.
“My mother once told me I didn’t open my eyes for eight days after I was born, but when I did, the first thing I saw was poverty,,and since that day I knew what I wanted when I grow up,You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope, In my case, I can sincerely say that nothing is impossible..I was Born Broke but I won’t die Poor… When I was saying I want to be the best in what I do, and I was eight years old, most of the people were laughing at me because it seems like I have one percent of chances to do that, and I’ve done it.”
