One of the most prestigious clubs in Nairobi, Gallileo Lounge has shut down, though temporarily. The lounge has been closed down for the past few weeks, with rumours going round that the owner had gotten broke.
The lounge’s entertainment consultant, Shaffie Weru, spoke on the matter to the Star on the matter. “There have been rumours that the owner has gone broke but I can authoritatively say that we are just renovating the venue and we will be open soon.” he said.
The management of the lounge is hoping to make it “the best lounge in Nairobi” according to Shaffie. Located along Waiyaki way, Galileo lounge is known to host special events like concerts, weddings, company parties, disco and live shows. It has however faced a lot of competition from newcomers like Skylux.
