Refining To Destruction ?

Inoorero University, owned by Tetu member of parliament FT. Nyammo, is in the spotlight for offering ‘non-existent’ courses. Several students at the Parklands based institution are demanding answers from the administration for lying to them that they are authorized to offer Bachelor of Law degrees, and going ahead and deceitfully offering it.
One student who spoke to the media said that she learned that the university was offering the course via a newspaper advert. Upon applying, she received an acceptance letter and joined the institution a few months ago. One semester later, the Bachelor of Law students found out that the institution is only accredited to offer law diplomas. On confronting the school’s administration, they were promised that their credits would be transferred to Mount Kenya University. Not satisfied with the answer, the students went to MKU, and to their shock, the Thika based university does not accept credit transfer from Inoorero.
The students are now left without knowing what to do, having paid school fees amounting to more than Sh 70,000.
Contacted, Inoorero’s administration promised to give a comprehensive statement in due course.
