Retail giant Tesco, wrongly advertised the price of an iPad 4G, 64 GB, as £ 49.99 approximately $ 65, instead of £500. The huge 90% offer led to so many online buys that Tesco’s website crashed. News of the once in a lifetime offer spread fast on social networks. Unfortunately for everyone, Tesco noticed their blunder and suspended all iPad purchases and promised to refund money to those who were ‘lucky’.

A spokesman said: ‘We always look to offer our customers unbeatable value but unfortunately this is an IT error that is now being corrected.’
Dominic Gemski, 20, of Portsmouth was so thrilled by the offer that he bought 3.
