Owago Onyiro Defends Churchill

Popular Churchill comedian, Owago Onyiro has come out to strongly defend the show host, Daniel Ndambuki a.k.a Churchill, who has come under a lot of fire from fellow comedians. Churchill and the show’s organizers have been accused of poor pay, with some comedians reported to take home only Sh1000 per episode.
This comes amidst the recent revelation that Teacher Wanjiku has started her own show set to air on Citizen. Owago, soon touring the U.S has defended Churchill by claiming that the comedians are greedy. He says Churchill gives them a platform to get known which is more than anyone can ask.
“who-else can give you such a national platform (Churchill Show) to perform and build your brand free of charge and then again give you something small at the end of the day?”
On his US tour, Owago said,
“Churchill took it upon himself to organize for my Visa and bank statements,”  said Owago.
