The family of a six-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a car carrying the Deputy President’s Press Service in Busia County is lamenting broken promises by RP Ruto.
Nearly a month after his son was interred, the boy’s father Felix Mambala says calls to the DP have gone unanswered.
“Hajawahi receive simu. Napiga simu hazishikwi. Mimi nasikia uchungu sana kumpoteza mtoto wa kwanza,” Mr Mambala told Citizen TV.
(He has never picked my call. I have made several unsuccessful attempts. I’m really pained by the loss of my first child)
Malamba, who spoke to the DP last month after the accident, claims he was promised a job, while his wife Elizabeth Akinyi was promised a financial boost for her salon business.

They were also promised a house, the couple noted.
In response, DP Ruto’s office explained that the promises have not been fulfilled because the matter is before the court.
