Akothee’s daughter Rue Baby drew the wrath of some of her fans on social media after revealing her dating preferences.
In a Q&A session on Instagram, the model asked her followers to recommend a man to go on vacation with.
“Who should I go on vacation with? He better be handsome,” wrote Rue Baby. One fan suggested Otile Brown, with Rue Baby quickly ruling out the Bongo singer because of the color of skin.
“I don’t do lightskins plus nitapigwa na mwenyewe na sina uwezo,” wrote Rue.
The model’s perceived prejudice towards men with lighter complexion angered one fan, in particular, who sent Rue Baby a direct message.
“You don’t do lightskins? Wow! That is so disrespectful and stereotypic, does that mean we are like disabled or something? SMH. This statement just turned me the f*ck down and to think I actually thought you were some sort of inspo.”
Rue Baby defended her remark saying, “Don’t get it twisted, we all have our preferences. Just because I love black coffee does not mean white coffee is poison.”
In another interaction, a fan suggested Sean Andrew, who Rue Baby was crushing on a few months ago in an interview with Pulse Magazine.
Rue Baby responded to the suggestion saying, “I doubt if we wanna make headlines again, plus y’all said am too dark for Sean Andrew.”
The model also got it on with a fan who said she was too dark for him.
