Sonko Jumps to Senator Linturi’s Defence Over Alleged Poor Bedroom Skills

Nairobi County Chief Mike Sonko has taken issue with a local daily for intruding into Meru Senator Mithika Linturi’s sex life.

The Star newspaper on Thursday published an article titled “Linturi unable to ‘rise to the occasion’ – wife.”

In an affidavit filed in court, Linturi’s estranged wife Maryanne Kitany sensationally claimed that the legislator could not “rise to the occasion” in the bedroom. According to Kitany, this is one of the reasons why their marriage fell apart.

Linturi was unable to rise to the occasion in the bedroom on several occasions, claiming exhaustion, sickness, but for most of the part he simply could not,” the affidavit reads in part.

Sonko, who was reacting to the article on his Facebook page, said the newspaper is turning into gutter press.

He also urged the Meru Senator to file a lawsuit against the paper and offered pro bono services in the case.

“This is nonsense of the highest order and totally unacceptable. The star is becoming a gutter press day by day. We shall not allow them to publish bedroom stories of other men with their wives. Which journalist was present in their bedroom during that material night. Shenzi nyinyi. Linturi take them to court this is good money. And since your matrimonial residence is in Nairobi I shall be an amicus curiae in this case on probono. Musidharau wanaume to that extent na hata tukizeeka. God gave us tongues and fingers,” said the Nairobi governor.
