Opposition Chief Raila Odinga on Tuesday visited ailing business tycoon Chris Kirubi at his home.
Odinga was accompanied by his legal adviser Paul Mwangi in the visit to Kirubi’s posh home in Loresho. The visit comes after Chris Kirubi returned home in March after a six-month stay in the United States where he reportedly received specialized treatment for an undisclosed condition.
Through a communication on his official Twitter account, Raila shared pictures of their meet up. He said the businessman was in high spirits.
“This morning I visited CKirubi who has recently returned from overseas where he had gone for medical treatment. It was great to see him in high spirits and we wish him all the best as he continues with his recovery,” wrote Odinga.
The two are said to have talked about the current state of affairs in the country. Kirubi reportedly lauded the Building Bridges Initiative by Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta, saying it will make a peaceful environment for investors.
Kirubi, who is the single-largest shareholder of the Nairobi Securities Exchange traded Centum Investments with a 28.64 per cent stake, also took Raila on a tour of his upcoming construction project.
