Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has finally addressed the rumours linking her romantically to Diamond Platnumz. Wema has been on the spot for weeks after the shock break-up between the Tanzanian singer and his partner, Zari Hasan on Valentine’s Day.
It was believed Wema’s recent get-together with Diamond at a Wasafi party in January caused the break-up, something Zari Hassan confirmed in a recent interview with BBC Swahili.
“Diamond and I have broken up. In other words, it is done! I blocked him since videos showing him cozying up to his ex-girlfriend went viral online,” said Zari.
Following Zari’s assertions, Wema has distanced herself from the couple’s break-up noting that she is just friends with Diamond.
Speaking to reporters, the Tanzanian sweetheart noted that her chemistry with Diamond at the Wasafi party may have been wrongly interpreted. She denied kissing Diamond and said she only gave him a friendly hug.
Wema further disclosed that the two will be working together at Diamond’s recently launched Wasafi TV.
