A city businesswoman was on Tuesday night shot and injured during a mugging in Nairobi’s Donholm area.
The woman who operates an M-Pesa shop in the area was on her way home when she was accosted by three gunmen. The thugs are said to have ordered the woman to surrender her bag which contained the airtime valued at Sh400,000.
According to the police, the woman resisted with the bag and attempted to flee the scene but was shot on the back.
The gunmen made away with the bag as good Samaritans rushed her to Metropolitan Hospital in critical condition.
The bullet is said to have lodged in her stomach.
