The daughter of Bishop Margaret Wanjiru over the weekend wed the love of her life in Atlanta, Georgia.
The bride, Purity Kariuki, wed Michael Litunda at a colorful private garden ceremony on Saturday attended by very close family and friends.
Musician Mercy Myra performed at the ceremony as a surprise gift for Purity from her newly-wed husband.
Bishop Wanjiru, in her address to the guests, boasted that her family is very intercultural, alluding to the fact that the groom is a Luhya.
She said that she raised her family to love and appreciate everyone no matter what tribe or part of the world they come from.
Wanjiru told the guests that her first son, Steven Kariuki, married a woman from the Rabai tribe, while her second son, Evans Kariuki, has an African-American wife.
She further encouraged young Kenyans in the diaspora to raise their children the same way and support each other.
