Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has published a schedule for the water rationing that took effect on January 1, 2017.
Nearly every estate in the capital and nearby counties under the jurisdiction of the Nairobi Water Company will be affected, with decreased rainfall blamed as the cause.
Vital installations like the Kenyatta National Hospital, NYS, NSIS HQ, Kahawa Barracks, Kenyatta University, UNEP, Pumwani Hospital, JKIA, GSU Headquarters, and a few others, will however have uninterrupted water.
This is the full schedule. Nairobi Water has confirmed that the times indicated show when water will be available not the other way round. In this case, 24/7 means water will be available 24/7.
