We all long for the day that Kenya Power’s monopoly will come to an end. I hope that when that day comes, the government will make it a public holiday because we have suffered enough in the hands of Kenya’s sole electricity distributor.
Matters were made worse on Tuesday when a technical fault at Gitaru Hydro Station caused a blackout in most parts of the country.
Reacting to the power outage, Kenyans on social media used humor to get over the disappointment.
