The first 5 star hotel in the heart of Machakos town has officially opened its doors to the public.
Gelian Hotel is co-owned by among others the former Precision Air chief executive officer Alphonse Kioko. It is a 95 room hotel which comprises of 2 presidential suites, 4 ambassadorial rooms, 36 deluxe suites, and 53 standard rooms.
The hotel is expected to solve the lack of high quality hotel accommodation in the first growing Machakos town.
It is located 45 minutes’ drive away from Nairobi (before the Kidero drums). It is also only eight minutes away from the Kyamwilu site, a tourist attraction site where nature defies force of gravity.
The hotel also boasts of 5 conference rooms, a state of the art spa & health club, a club lounge and an in house swimming pool.
The hotel whose value has not been disclosed was funded by Kenya Commercial Bank.
