Chinese Premier Li Keqiang was in the country over the weekend, as part of his 10 day African tour.
Kenya and China signed 17 multi billion deals, including the Standard Gauge Railway project estimated to cost Sh327 billion. The Asian will provide 85% of that amount. Yesterday, 3 East African Presidents; Yoweri Museveni – Uganda, Paul Kagame – Rwanda and Salva Kiir – South Sudan, were present in Nairobi to witness signing of the deal.
