Caroline Wanjiku Tharau only needed one season at Churchill Show to change her life forever. Using the stage name Wanjiku the Teacher, the comedian has become one of the pillars at the current season of Churchill Show.
Appearing every fortnight, Wanjiku is always worth the two weeks wait.
Riding on her popularity, mobile service provider, Airtel, made her the face of one of their campaigns. Appearing on TV, newspaper, radio and billboards, Wanjiku has done a splendid job promoting Airtel’s 2 bob across all networks campaign.
Pressplay.co.ke is revealing that the comedian pocketed a cool Sh6 million from the deal… That’s six with six zeros.
Definitely much more than she makes from her stand up comedy job. The same website is reporting that Wanjiku is just about to sign another deal with a leading bank.
To add on that, Wanjiku currently has another running deal with Blue Band.
We can be sure that Wanjiku will be one of the highest earning entertainers in Kenya this year, especially if we only consider endorsements.
Here is that Airtel ad.
