According to reports, Nation Media Group is about to launch a new TV station, a Swahili one. The preparations for the launch of the station named QTV are at advanced stages and already several personnel have been hired. The initial Q comes from its Swahili radio station Qfm, and is believed to stand for nothing, other than they discovered that there is no letter Q in the Swahili language and decided to name it that. Aljazeera is about to launch their Swahili TV station and the two will give each other a run for their money.
