A middle-aged woman has been sentenced to serve life in prison after she was found guilty of sexually abusing a 6-year-old boy.
In his ruling on Monday, Rongo Senior Resident Magistrate Raymond Langat said there was enough evidence linking the 22-year-old woman to the heinous crime committed on March 30, 2019.
The court heard that the accused defiled her employer’s son and knowingly infected him with a Sexually Transmitted Infection.
Magistrate Langat further pointed out that the most agonizing part of the crime is that the househelp abused the minor yet she knew her health condition and she was on drugs.
The Court noted that the minor suffered psychologically and was also put on medication.
The Magistrate sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and gave her 14 days to appeal the ruling.
