Embattled Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe still has a friend in Terryanne Chebet.
Chebet, who is Maribe’s close friend and former colleague at Citizen TV, has spoken up on claims that she has been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in connection to Maribe’s arrest and involvement in the murder of Monica Kimani.
According to the CEO of Fanaka TV, she only heard about the claims online because the DCI had not in any way reached out to her.
“It has come to my attention that I have been allegedly summoned by DCI in connection to my friend Jacque’s arrest. First I would like to clarify that DCI has not reached out to me and I have only read about it online,” said Terryanne.
She further distanced herself from the events surrounding Maribe and her fiance Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’. Terryanne, however, stated that she is willing to testify as a character witness for her friend Jacque.
“While I am not involved in the unfortunate events, I understand that by virtue of being Jacque’s friend, I may be called upon as a character witness. Should I be called upon I am available.”
On Sunday, Terryanne Chebet appeared to defend Jacque from the negative backlash she been receiving on social media circles when she urged her Instagram followers not to be judgmental.
“Here’s to a blessed week to you all. ❤ Let us show a little more kindness, a lot less judgement. ??.”
