Huddah Monroe has likened Tanzanian singer Juma Jux to Kenya’s political leader Raila Odinga.
Earlier this year, Huddah and Juma Jux sparked dating rumours across East Africa after they were pictured in public displays of affection.
However, it was obvious for all to see that it was a publicity stunt, with Juma Jux releasing a music video – Simuachi – featuring Huddah and the petite socialite launching her cosmetics products in Tanzania.
But some fans were convinced of their relationship, and they have started asking questions given that Huddah and Juma are rarely seen together nowadays.
In a Q&A session, Huddah faced a question about Juma Jux and came clean abut their rumored love affair.
“Juma Jux ako aje?” a curious fan asked.
To which Huddah confirmed that it was a publicity project as she likened the musician to Raila Odinga.
“Kama Raila. Ilikuwa tu project. Na iliisha,” Huddah wrote.
In an earlier interview, Huddah claimed she was dating someone in Tanzania but not Juma Jux.
She also explained the kiss she shared with Juma, saying: “People kiss. Friends kiss, you can kiss your child on the cheeks. Just watch out, you can tell the energy.”
On her relationship with Juma Jux, Huddah Monroe told reporters in Tanzania, “He is a good-looking guy, and I’m sure women were waiting to date him and are heartbroken after I came into the picture, but Jux and I are not dating.
She added: “We are friends na ikitokea kama tunadate maybe…you know I am sorry, but huwezi kumcontrol mwanaume kile anataka. More importantly, we are business partners. We have been in business for a long time.”
