Comedian Chipukeezy has vowed to take care of child rapper Brian Masaba alias Juala Superboy after being moved by the young boy’s plight.

The 6-year old rapper, who rose to fame after battling Khaligraph Jones during a freestyle rap competition organized by NRG Radio last year, could not hold back tears while opening up about the dire situation at his home.

In a recent interview, Juala Superboy, who lives in Kosovo area of Mathare slums, opened up about how his parents have been struggling to make ends meet.

“My mother used to wash people’s clothes in order to provide for us but the job is no longer there. For six months, she has just been at home since she doesn’t have a job. My dad works as a casual construction worker. His job is temporary. It may be there today but miss for about two weeks. To be sincere, my home is not that good. We just get little to eat and have also gone without meals. I am in pain. We are almost being hounded out of this house as a result of unpaid dues. To make it worse, even our school fees is yet to be paid,” said Superboy.

Moved by his story, Chipukeezy took to social media to announce a much-needed silver-lining for the budding rapper and his family.

The NACADA director promised to cater for Superboy’s school fees from Primary School to University level.

Additionally, Chipukeezy will also give Superboy a permanent slot on his show so that he can be able to help his parents financially.

The ‘Chipukeezy Show’ host will also be supporting young, upcoming comedienne ‘Socks Ya Mkamba’, a Form Two student at Ngara Girls.

It pains me to see this young and very talented boy cry because of the situation back at home. So I have decided that am going to take care of him, I will cater for his school fees (primary, Secondary & University). I met with his manager and pledged to support him . I also visited Socks ya Mkamba in Mathare and met with her parents and I pledged to support her so once Chipukeezy Show resumes, we will give Super boy and Socks ya Mkamba a permanent contract on Chipukeezy Show, so that they can be able to assist their parents financially,” wrote Chipukeezy.

The comedian, through Chipukeezy Productions, is also looking for young and skilled personnel to work on the show ahead of its return from September 7.
