Leaked footage of a racist Chinese national has stirred a storm among Kenyans on the internet who want the businessman arrested and deported with immediate effect.
In the less than 3-minute undated clip which has been circulating widely on social media platforms, the Chinese guy describes Kenyans, beginning with President Uhuru Kenyatta, as monkeys.
The video appears to have been recorded without his knowledge by one of his employees at Sonlink Limited which sells motorbikes in Ruiru along the bypass.
The employee is heard arguing a case in which he feels unfairly treated by the Chinese man.
He says in part: “Why are you [directing] your anger to me? It’s like you are punishing me.”
The Chinese interrupts him saying it is because he is Kenyan.
“Everyone, every Kenyan is like a monkey. Even Uhuru Kenyatta, all of them,” he says.
The employee responds: [Even Uhuru] the president of this country is like a monkey?”, to which the Chinese responds, “Yeah, sure.”
In another instance, the Chinese man says: “I don’t like you monkey people, [you] smell bad and foolish and black.”
Naturally, Kenyans on social media have reacted angrily to the video which has added to the growing complaints of racist attacks from Chinese nationals working in Kenya.
Here is the video and some reactions:
This is How far the Chinese in Kenya go. They believe we are Black Monkeys, Poor and are just here for our Money. They have even called President Uhuru Kenyatta a Monkey. This far is enough and we shouldn’t allow them to keep doing this. This is Criminal!

It’s now evident that China colonized Kenya long ago, that’s even a Chinese who’s selling bikes in this country has the courage to insult 50+Million Kenyans including Our own President Uhuru Kenyatta. Better we remain as monkeys in our nation and get rid of these idiots. pic.twitter.com/ZE8K6eYhQs

@ODPP_KE @DCI_Kenya This is clear hate speech meant to demean and denigrate authority of a public officer, contrary to Section 132 of the Penal Code! Alan Wadi was sentenced to two years, this ignoramus on a probably illegal permit should be deported ASAP!!
