King Kaka is set to represent Kenya on a big stage after landing a chance to share a stage with other prominent entrepreneurs and leaders across the world in the second annual Goalkeepers event in New York.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper and entrepreneur expressed his excitement at the chance to give a talk alongside Bill and Melinda Gates, among others.

“Another win for Kenya. Very excited to be speaking at this year’s Goalkeepers alongside Trisha Shetty, Ed Sheeran, Bill Gates, Aranya Johar, Melinda Gates, Graca Machel and David Sengeh. New York see you this September,” he said.

Goalkeepers, started by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is a multiyear campaign dedicated to accelerating progress towards the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals).

In its second year, the event will highlight the stunning progress in reducing extreme poverty since 1990 and showcase what’s possible if the world invests in the health and education of its growing youth populations, particularly in Africa.

The event will take place on the 25-26th of September, at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City, as world leaders gather for the UN General Assembly.

Goalkeepers ’18 will begin with the Global Goals Awards ceremony on the evening of the 25th, followed by a daytime event on the 26th.

This year, Goalkeepers, including King Kaka will focus on youth population growth and how it affects future world progress.

Speakers will showcase how investing in “human capital”- the health and education of young people-unlocks productivity and innovation, reduces poverty, and generates prosperity.

The event will be live-streamed on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Facebook channel.
