Vivian’s soon-to-be husband Sam West has spoken up about the recent furore over the singer’s “mystery” daughter.
According to the comedian, he has no problem wedding the “Chum Chum” singer despite having a child from a past relationship. He says being in a relationship with a single mum is advantageous because she is mature and ready to settle.
Vivian unveiled her daughter this past Mother’s Day with some quarters speculating that she was hiding a child.
Responding to the naysayers, Vivian explained, “I am a private person, and it’s a good thing that I posted the picture because I was tired of speculations from people and I decided to demystify the speculations.
“Besides, anyone who I meet often and work with has always known about my daughter.”
This has, however, not stopped some fans from asking whether Sam West knew about the daughter and if he is comfortable marrying Vivian.
He responded saying, “When someone comes from another relationship, that is her past because it is the same case with me. We have to live in the present.
“I love her and I don’t have any problems with her kid. It’s also good to understand that it’s always an advantage when dating someone who has been taking care of her own household. Someone who has been taking care of a child my friend is more mature than one who doesn’t.”
The two are set to wed in a few months time after holding a Kikuyu traditional ceremony in March 2018.
