A man who moved the county to tears after opening up to the public about his late wife’s struggle with Diabetes has found love again.
John Mburu shared his remarkable ‘for better for worse’ story with QTV as he opened up about the great lengths he had gone to, including quitting his job, to take care of his sick wife who was diagnosed with cerebral hypoxia.
The late Grace Muthoni Mburu fell ill in 2013, a year into her marriage with Mburu and five months pregnant.
Doctors advised the termination of her pregnancy to save her life before she was later diagnosed with cerebral hypoxia.
Grace later lost her sight, hearing, memory, and could only feed through Nasogastric intubation. This forced Mburu to dedicate all his life to taking care of his sick wife until her passing on February 8, 2017.
Fourteen months later, John Mburu has remarried. He said “I do” to his new wife Mary Wambui in a colorful, blue-themed church wedding last weekend.
The ceremony was held at St Charles Lwanga Catholic Church in Njoro, Nakuru.
