STUNNING PHOTOS of Proposed Africa’s Tallest Residential Luxury Tower in Nairobi

February 7, 2018

International real estate development and investment firm Lordship Africa has broken ground on what will be the tallest private residential building in sub-Saharan Africa.

Christened 88 Nairobi Condominium, the ambitious Sh 5 billion residential apartment project was unveiled yesterday and will be built in Nairobi’s Upper Hill district.

Sitting on a two-acre piece of land on the corner of Bishop’s Road and 4th Ngong Avenue, the landmark residential development will have 44 floors.

Designed to five-star hotel standards, and aligned with World Bank and European Union safety requirements, the tower is expected to have 12000 square feet of rental space and an additional 16000 square feet of lush gardens space.

Jonathan Jackson, founder of Lordship Africa and Lordship Europe, said that the project was motivated by the need to house executives who work in Upper Hill.

“Upper Hill currently doesn’t have executive residential apartments despite the near 40,000 VIPs who work in this area. The building will enable them to drive short distances to work, or even walk,” said Jackson.

The tower consists of ultra-modern serviced apartments, with five different options- 1 and 2 bedroom fully furnished executive; 2 bedroom VIP; 4 bedroom duplex and penthouse apartments.

The residential units begin from the 8th floor and luxury penthouses from the 40th floor.

Starting price for the 2 bedroom apartments start at Sh22.9 million while renting the same space will set a tenant back by about Sh370,000.

“We’ve done a comparison on how much the same house costs on other properties. For instance, at Gem Suites Riverside, an equivalent goes for Sh400, 000 per month, Serene Valley is Sh390,000 and Yaya Towers Sh410,000. We, therefore, think that our price is quite competitive,” said Jonathan Jackson during the opening of the condominium’s show house.

Amenities include meeting & facility rooms, garden level lounge café and convenience store, children play area and running track on podium level, indoor heated pool, gym, spa and wellness, Turkish Bath, 30th floor terrace with a splendid view of Nairobi, Sky Club Lounge and above ground valet parking.

Security will also be provided around and within the building and will be of UN standards.

Construction is expected to kick off in April this year with completion set for mid-2020.

Here are some design photos of what we can expect in about three years.
