Apparently, Nairobi is so unsafe that one can get mugged in broad daylight, get stabbed in the process, and end up at Kenyatta National Hospital where they would be raped at night.
It is just not safe anymore and Nairobians have in the last couple of weeks been expressing their concerns over the rising cases of muggings in the city centre.
Nairobi police and Sonko’s administration have since responded to our cries by forming an anti-mugging squad comprising officers drawn from the County, Regular and Administration Police units.
While the move has allayed some of Nairobians’ fears, doubts still remain about the squad’s efficiency owing to the city’s congestion.
As city dwellers continue to share their views on the issue through social sites, a Facebook user has hilariously depicted just how dire the insecurity situation is with a cleverly captioned picture.
Apparently, it is so bad that one can get mugged as Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, watch.
