The battle for the title of Kenya’s rap king may be over, but Khaligraph Jones might be having the last laugh over his main competitors -Octopizzo and King Kaka – following Avril’s recent remarks.
The Kaka Empire Nightingale is currently riding high on her latest chart-topping single – Babiee – featuring Uganda’s A Pass.
Speaking about the song, Avril revealed: “Saint P and I came up with the song when we were jamming in the studio and thought it would be a really great song.”
A Pass added: “The song was a different concept and it was something he wanted to do. When the song was presented to me I liked it and I felt like I could jump on it.”
To promote the song, Avril has been on a media tour which took her to Ebru TV’s ‘The Edge’. During the lighter side of the interview, the songbird was tasked with a game of ‘Would You Rather’
She was asked who between Khaligraph, Octopizzo or King Kaka she would choose for a husband.
She responded, “Lord! Why are you putting me in this situation? I am a fan of all of them,” she said before choosing Papa Jones.
Asked where she would go on a date with the rapper, Avril said she would choose Malindi over Maasai Mara because she loves the ocean.
“I love the water, I love the ocean so definitely Malindi.”
