British Supermodel Naomi Campbell has allayed any fears of insecurity in Kenya after spending her Easter holidays in the popular tourist town of Malindi.
Campbell jetted into Malindi in a private local charter flight on Sunday, a few minutes before 5pm, and was driven in a Range Rover Vogue belonging to Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore.
She was staying at the super-exclusive Lion In The Sun beach resort owned by Briatore, Campbell’s ex-boyfriend.
Besides touring the Kenyan coast and Sardinia Due, an island in the Indian Ocean near Watamu, the model also spent times with kids and took to Instagram to share a picture with the “beautiful souls.”

Speaking to foreign journalists at the resort, the supermodel had this to say about Kenya:
“Many people discouraged me from coming to Kenya, saying the country was not yet safe to visit. But I insisted that I would come and here I am. I feel quite safe. I didn’t feel anything different from the way I have felt during my previous visits. There is tranquility here. People should not shy away from visiting Kenya.”
“Life in Kenya is natural and beautiful,” she added.

This was not her first visit to the country though. Her most recent visit was in January 2014 when she holidayed with her ex-boyfriend, Italian billionaire Flavio Briatore.
