A bizarre incident has left a family in Bugenyi village, Busia County living in fear after they threw a cock that had wandered into their compound into a pit latrine.
According to a report by a local daily, the rooster whose owner remains unknown, wandered into the compound last December. A family member who sought anonymity said they immediately began noticing strange occurrences.
“The rooster entered my compound on December 26. I did not know its owner. It began crowing at 9 pm when we were just about to retire to sleep. I threw it inside a pit latrine because I was afraid of slaughtering it. Until today, it is crowing inside the toilet. It feeds on human waste.” said the distraught family member.
“My family is constantly ailing, and we’re experiencing horrifying dreams, seeing live snakes chasing us. All my children are experiencing stomach problems and persistent headaches. I urge ministers of faith to come and pray for my family. I just want to know where this cock came from” he added.
