TBT: When Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko Used to Smoke Bhang (PHOTO)

Quite the outspoken and controversial character, Mike Sonko is always making headlines for one reason or another.
Most recently, the Nairobi senator intrigued and shocked many when he revealed a photo from his past on his Facebook page. The major throwback photo shows Sonko clad in a Pilsner half sweater, jeans with rasta colours prints and a hat.
He further revealed that during that time, about 25 years ago, he was quite the ‘stoner.’
“God is good all the time. At this age I was a very notorious boy. Bangi ndio zilikuwa zangu but I thank God 25 years down the line, I am a totally and completely reformed person and with a true and living testimony to many,” read his post.
He also used the opportunity to encourage his followers and fans to never give up.
“Never give up in life. You too can change from nothing to something just trust in God. Hebu guess kwa hii picha niko wapi na bangi zangu za zamani,” posted Sonko.
