“Missing Nigeria Elections Was Not My Fault” – Davido

Nigerian super star Davido has hit back at claims that he is unpatriotic to his country after missing elections.
The star was in the country on election day on Saturday for a concert at Carnivore that did not live up to the expectations.
The ‘Skelewu’ hitmaker has put the blame on the change of dates from February 14 to last Saturday.
“First of all the Nigerian elections were supposed to be on February 14 and I was booked for the show last year. What was I to do? As an artiste it all comes down to business, I gave my word I would be here on this day. They moved the elections. That is not my fault,” he said.
Asked to give his opinion about Nigerian politics, Davido said: “I know nothing about Nigerian politics”.
