Leading telecommunication company Safaricom has unveiled the list of artists expected to perform at the Safaricom Jazz festival, set to go down at the Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse Nairobi on the 27th February this year.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony, Safaricom CEO Bob collymore said that the festival was a surety to Kenyans on their commitment to develop the entertainment industry.
“Through the provision of this platform for a rich, timeless genre of music, we are reaffirming our commitment of developing the arts industry in Kenya.”
Some of the musicians set to perform in the event include: Rhythm Junks, The nile project, Yuval Cohen, and Kenya’s own Kavutha, Jacob Asiyo, Aaron “Crucial Keys” Rimbui, Chris Bittok and Eddie Grey.
The event aims at opening the arts industry to International singers.
