Ray C Starts Foundation To Eradicate Drug Abuse

Having successfully recovered from drug addiction, sassy singer Ray C is now ready to give back to the society.
Ray C is looking to educate the youth and the masses through the RAY C Foundation. She says that the silence on the effects of drug abuse is what caused her to fall into addiction in the first place, and she is looking to correct this. Drug abuse has become a rampant problem among the youth especially in the bongo and coast regions.
Ray C posted the following message on her social media pages
“Ray C Foundation ni asasi ilioanza rasmi Feb 2014, nia na madhumuni ya hii asasi ni kuelimisha vijana na jamii yote kwa ujumla madhara ya utumiaji madawa ya kulevya kwani madawa ya kulevya ni tatizo kubwa sana. Palikuwepo na ukimya mkubwa juu ya haya madawa, majadiliano juu ya ulevi huu yalikua hayazungumziki kwa uwazi hata kidogo japo madhara ya matumizi ya dawa za kulevya ni makubwa sana na yanatisha katika jamii yetu hapa Tanzania….Nia na madhumuni ya kuanzisha Ray C foundation ni kuhamasisha na kuelimisha vijana na jamii mzima athari za utumiaji madawa ya kulevya na kuwafikia walengwa ndani ya jamii  na katika maeneo yao nchi nzima!! Eh Mungu tuepushe na janga hili kazi ya taifa isipotee..We need your support.”
